Client relationships are like personal relationships to me…
at times you lead, at times you learn, and at times you do whatever necessary to make the other person’s life easier.
I love the full spectrum of this job:
- I love doing an unexpected favor outside of our job description to make our client’s lives easier.
- I love learning about our client’s challenges and goals.
- And I love coming up with strategy and leading our clients through a successful campaign.
We like to put a heavy focus on client relationships and customer service.
However, this type of customer service is hard to do for a large amount of clients with the small team that we have. It’s easy to get spread too thin. That’s why we now have a minimum budget requirement for our clients each year in the form of a retainer.
We just can’t provide the service, work, and thought without guaranteeing those hours are set aside for them each month.
-
My intent is to continue creating long lasting relationships of helping our clients grow, as well as growing ourselves in the process.

One example of doing work outside our job description:
We hand drew the Draft Beer menu at Blatt Beer & Table. However, the chalkboards are wooden boards with chalkboard paint – so it doesn’t erase properly because it’s not perfectly smooth. So we bought chalkboard paint over lunch one day, and painted over parts of the board over lunch the next day. No real time out of our day, and it made a huge difference in how the environment appears – which is a priority to our client, making it a priority to us.
