I’ve known Justin for close to 10 years now from skateboarding. I’ve noticed a person’s true character really shines through when skateboarding.
I’ve seen Justin think through and try a trick until he lands it without giving up or breaking his board out of anger – showing problem solving skills, persistence, and a good attitude.
I’ve seen him land some amazing tricks, and he’s never looked up to make sure someone saw or raised his hands in the air and clapped for himself. He can handle himself and be confident without being cocky.
Justin always had a good selection of tricks… backside tailslides, smiths, lipslides, and backside 360s and solid kickflips. On top of that, he does them on interesting obstacles.
It’s shown me that he has a good eye, has good style and is creative.
This is exactly what we look for in someone that works at SecretPenguin:
- Someone that doesn’t give up,
- doesn’t have an ego,
- can creatively problem solve,
- and has a positive attitude.
It doesn’t hurt that Justin is a very talented designer, as well.
Here’s an older video of him skateboarding:
