There is a scene in the announcement video for our new Analysis service where we show the report arrive in your email inbox. For the video we knew we couldn’t use a screenshot of Gmail or any other real email service, so we quickly mocked up a fake one. For some reason it came out cat themed. I assume this was mostly due to Dave spitting out John Meowkovich jokes all week. Cats were fresh on my mind.
After the video was finished Jason and I continued to think about Meow Mail and decided to build it in our free time. We took a few nights and threw it together. The concept is simple. It’s an email themed, tumblr style, cat blog. It’s pretty stupid.
Feel free to use it to make your friends think you are a super intense cat person that even has a cat themed email account.
Also, I wanted to give a thanks to the creators of Font Awesome. We used it for the icons on Meow Mail. I have wanted to explore fonts as icons ever since I read this blog post by the extremely smart Zach Leatherman.
